This year Lenzing will exhibit at the “Denim by Première Vision” show. In partnership with Kontiki, Lenzing creates eco-designed products. Kontiki produces high quality bags made from recycled bicycle hoses and Lenzing supplies the denim. Youthful design combined with resource-saving and sustainable materials results in functional creations for everyday life. German Company Lebensqualität-Traumwerkstatt GmbH Wins „Deutschland Land der Ideen“ 2012 Award with TENCEL®

German company Lebensqualität-Traumwerkstatt GmbH won the „Deutschland Land der Ideen“ (Germany – land of ideas) award 2012 with clothes made from TENCEL®. This yearly competition awards creative and innovative ideas and products suitable to increase Germany´s competitive capacity. The German company won the award amongst 2000 co-competitors with their textiles made from TENCEL®. In the meanwhile “Lebensqualität-Traumwerkstatt GmbH” is exporting it´s products even to Hongkong.

51st Man-Made Fiber Conference with a New and More Modern Look

“Communicating the Future of Man-Made Fibers” is the motto of the 51st Man-Made Fiber Conference in Dornbirn from September 19-21, 2012. The talks deal with the challenges facing the man-made fiber industry, mobility 2050 and the sustained procurement of textiles and clothing with regard to aspects of marketing. In the individual talks the themes for 2012 are: fiber innovations (sustainability), fibers and textiles in automobiles (mobility), man-made fibers for environmental protection, unconventional fiber applications, medical applications, technical non-wovens (filtration, membranes) and EU research projects. In 2012 Japan is represented with a top-notch delegation from the fiber industry. Other country focal points will follow.
