Fashion Retailer H&M Expanding on Eco-friendly Conscious Denim

FBHMconscFashion retailer H&M is expanding its eco-friendly Conscious Collections with the launch of a new denim range including an indigo boilersuit in TENCEL®. H&M’s new denim line uses more sustainable materials and environmentally-friendly production processes. Conscious Denim includes pieces for women, men and children, and will be available worldwide in around 1,000 stores for women and 700 stores for men, as well as online.

MILCH at Modepalast Linz

Vienna based fashion label MILCH (we presented them with their fashion project to „upcycle“ used TENCEL® shirts into new fashion) presented themselves last weekend at Modepalast Linz/Austria / April 4th-6th at Kulturquartier OK-Platz. Andreas Guertler and Christina Kreuzwieser from Lenzing made use of this opportunity to go there and get some impressions with them.

The ECOCERT standards (Ecological & Recycled Textile Standard (ERTS)) stand for environmental protection and high social standards in the production processes. Therefore Lenzing can now offer a further attractive certification to their clients enhancing their market positions as well as giving the end-customers the opportunity to consciously decide for products which meet the severe ECOCERT requirements.

ECOCERT For LFG / Lenzing / Fibers

„Lenzing Fibers GmbH“ in Heiligenkreuz, Austria after an audition on November 20th was certified with ECOCERT for some of the fibers produced on location. The ECOCERT-certificate, standing for sustainibility and eco-friendly production, was granted for the plant´s standard textile fibers including Micro. As the certification procedure includes an intense examination of the production procedures this also means an appreciation of TENCEL®.

On July 1, 2013, Lenzing AG was given the Positioning Excellence Award from Trout & Partners, a globally leading consulting company for strategic positioning and differentiation.

“Lenzing is receiving this award for resolutely pursuing a clear positioning as the world market leader in the production of man-made cellulose fibers. About 15 years ago Lenzing AG started to increasingly focus on marketing. Subsequently the company has been able to achieve growth of more than 300% since the year 2000, and massively expand its global presence”, according to Trout & Partners, when justifying the selection of Lenzing AG.

Award for vegetables-packing nets made from Lenzing Modal® Color at this year´s printissimo|embalissimo|fibre PLUS:

„Vegetables packaging nets made from cellulose fibers“ was a project of the „Packaging Centre Graz“, now convincing the jury and winning this year´s fibre PLUS award by Austropapier/Austro Paper.

„The fibre PLUS Award is already the second award we have received for our packaging nets“ said Marina Crnoja-Cosic, when accepting the award for Lenzing AG on June 18th. „For us this means a clear signal for an increasing ecological conscience in the fields of packaging. It also confirms our comittment to be in a leading position concerning this issue.“
